Michael Frank will give a behind the scenes look at One Hundred Saturdays, his new book, which was seven years in the making and captures the story of Stella Levi, one of the last surviving members of the Juderia of Rhodes. This storied Sephardic community had lived on Rhodes, an paradisical island in the Eastern Mediterranean, for nearly half a millennium following its expulsion from Spain, and its long, rich history came to an end in July of 1944 when the community, more than 1,700 people in all, was taken to Auschwitz in one of the latest—and longest—of all the deportations.
